Baptist churches are mainly found in the rural areas of Uganda, where most of our population stay. Like most of our people in our rural areas, most of our brethren in these rural churches are poor peasant farmers who cannot afford to support their own pastors however much they would love. 

So, supporting a preacher financially in the rural areas of Uganda is a noble cause. Baptist preachers in the rural areas of Uganda are an active and vibrant part of the ministry in our country, they are preaching in rural poor churches, doing extensive evangelism outreach to the unreached areas, and planting churches to expand the Kingdom of God. During the days of Joshua, when people never wanted to serve God, Joshua made this bold decision ‘’but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” – Joshua 24:15. 

Since many of these preachers make their living through peasantry farming, many struggle to meet the financial needs of their families, like school fees for their children, ministry travel expenses and food in times of droughts etc.
